Case Sealing Equipment: Uniform Case Sealers are used in production environments where a run of the same sized cases is made, then changed over for the next sized box. Random case sealing machines are used primarily in order picking operations where the size of the box changes with every order, requiring a case sealer that can automatically adjust to different sizes on demand. An automatic case sealing machine folds all of the top flaps prior to sealing whereas a semi-automatic case sealer requires the operator to close the flaps prior to insertion into case sealer. After sealing the center line of the box another type of machine called an edge sealer can be added to tape the four edges of the box to make what is known as an "H" seal.

The overwhelming majority of our case sealer sales use tape to seal the boxes.  However other options such as stapling or hot melt gluing are also available.

 

   

Uniform Case Sealing Machines

Case Sealers are manufactured in a variety of configurations suitable for your needs.  Uniform case sealers are the most commonly used on production lines since each case is the same size as the previous case. These case sealers change over very easily from one size to another in a matter of a couple minutes and are available in automatic and semi-automatic versions.

Random Case Sealing Equipment

Random Case Sealers are ideal for order picking operations where the size of the case varies from case to case. These case sealers automatically adjust to the size of each case as it is presented. They are available in Semi-Automatic and Automatic versions.  Random case sealers run much slower and cost a lot more than Uniform case sealers because of the extra mechanisms that adjust the machine individually for each case.

Customized Case Sealing Equipment

Many applications exist that are outside of the specifications of our standard case sealing machines.  Changes required could be as simple as requiring stapling or hot melt application. Others requiring larger or smaller box handling. You might also need higher speeds or ability to handle thicker double corrugate.

Case Erectors

While most of our case sealers can do top and bottom sealing, it is common for many plants to have a case erector that opens and bottom seals the box prior to the case packing operations which can be either hand loaded or automatically packed. In those instances case sealers only perform the final top sealing.

Case erectors can be automatic or semi-automatic.

Pallet Wrappers | Stretch Wrappers | Pallet Wrapping Machines

Pallet Stretch Wrappers are available in many configurations including low profile pallet wrappers, high profile stretch wrappers, overhead swing arm pallet wrapping machines, and a variety of pallet wrapping tools. But stretch wrapping equipment is also available for many other tasks such as bundling products such as motors to pallets, tire wrapping, door and window wrapping, cabinets and many other applications.

Busch Machinery offers a full line of pallet wrappers to suit your needs from hand tools for manual wrapping to completely automatic systems that index pallets into the stretch wrapping station, wraps the pallet and indexes it out without the need for human intervention.

The most important feature the buyer should look for in a pallet wrapper is the amount of pre-stretch the stretch wrapper can impart on the film. A typical hand wrap will yield only about 20% stretch of the film, whereas our top models can pre-stretch the film 250% or more. Considering that during the life of a machine film will cost more than 10 times the cost of the machine itself, considerable savings can be had in addition to the cost savings of labor.  Furthermore film that has been stretched to the maximum secure loads better at the same time you are saving money.

Types of Stretch Wrapping Machines:

 

Low Profile Pallet Wrappers

Low profile pallet wrapping machines are best suited for dry areas where the primary means of loading is with a pallet jack. These machines typically sit directly on the workspace floor and have a very low profile turntable, typically less that 4 inches off the floor. With a ramp option it is very easy to load the turntable with a pallet jack. Low profile stretch wrapping equipment can be moved easily to different areas by forklift, but can only be lifted from the contol end.

High Profile Stretch Wrappers

High profile pallet wrappers are best suited for forklift operations because the forklift operator can more easily view the loading area. However because the turntable sits higher 8-10 inches of is lost for wrapping height. However that can be mitigated with a carriage height extension option if needed.

Overhead Swing Arm Pallet Wrapping Machines

Over head swing arm pallet wrappers are ideally suited for wash down environments since they can often be mounted on walls and there is no need for a turntable or frame to sit on the floor in a wet environment. However due to the swing diameter, barriers must be installed to protect employees from inadvertantly wandering into the wrapping area during operation.

Orbital Stretch Wrappers

Orbital Stretch Wrappers are primarily used for bundling operations for products like motors to a small base or for long products that need to be bundled together such as shelves or aluminum extrusions. (See the Revolver series further down on this page).

Sleeve Wrapping Machines are distiguishable from other types of shrink wrapping equipment in that the two ends of the package have an opening (often called "bulls eyes") such as commonly seen for water bottle packaging where the openings can act a handles.  In point of fact a sleeve wrapper is an excellent solution for bundling a wide variety of products and is often called a "bundler".

Automatic Palletizer - Automatic Palletizing Machine

Automatic palletizers arrange boxes and bags in tiers on pallets. There are several types of automatic palletizing machines including low table, high table and robotic. In most applications each tier is loaded ninty degrees to the previous tier in order to better stablize the load. But tier arrangement is programable by the operator so there are no limitations on how patterns can be made (though very intricate patterns could slow production rates).
